I always thought you had to go away or change yourself for this brilliant Becket-air summer feeling. I thought you had to work as hard as you possibly could - that something as beautiful as this was something that only be achieved through perilous tasks. Really, you just have to give yourself a little push and open up and the world unfurls before you. It's lovely and I never want it to end.
You may have guessed, but I'm having a good weekend.
We have two extra days of school after this, plus monday. Yesterday we hiked in Trish's woods (aah, my legs are so beat up!) and ended up singing Beatles songs round the fire. The day before we had a massive water-gun fight that started in spring fling with water bottles and end up in Nick's backyard with over 120$ (collectively) of supersokers bought two hours before.
Today I didn't do much, but that doesn't matter. I'm seeing Brian and Allie tomorrow! Memorial Day weekend is the best ever. If only school was actually over . . . Sigh. Fifteen days to go!
