So behind on updates, I don't think it's surmountable. lol. The quicky version -
- Work is starting to gear up again. We probably start shooting late summer, and it'll be quick & dirty - meaning twice as disorganized, but potentially chaotically fun.
- Got to take a week & go see the folks, which was as always fun but a little surreal.
Also got to see
gfp_freak in concert, which was a kick. :-D (w00t!)
- Have met someone interesting - no idea how it'll pan out, but it'll definitely be entertaining. Redheaded ex-ROTC who run marathons, base-jumps and likes hiking & camping, and is studying law. (Faced w/ all that, I suavely replied, "Um, I like to read books." Aren't I the Casanova lol!
Which brings me to the real question. So here's the thing. I'm building a library for my boss. The goal is a library (a personal library, but a verrrrry big one) which is entertaining, welcoming, highly informative, and user-friendly.
And since you all really intelligent & well-read people, I wanted to ask - what 10 books do people feel are absolutely necessary for a good library? They needn't be famous, or classic (or unknown and esoteric) - just books that, to you, are vital to a good library. (And we've got some leeway here - I'm including sections on Graphic Novels, Cinematic Theory, Childrens' Books, and Epics, so let your choices run wild).
So - please feel free to comment - I'd really love the imput! 10 Books necessary to a good living, breathing library....
