So here's the thing - I've been telling my mom about Terry Pratchett for years.
(Yes, it's going to be that kind of geeky post.)
And she's consented to read one! So I'm going to give her two books - "Good Omens" (as a kind of cultural icon), and one other Terry Pratchett.
So here's the question. I want to pick a really great one, but I'm having trouble picking one that a) funny, 2) deep, 3) has no vampires or zombies (she hates those). I'm inclined towards books w/ either the witches, or Vimes, as the central thread...
(oh, and for those of you who've never met her, my mom is very smart, extremely tough, but also very warm & fun. To be honest, whenever I read the witches, I always wind up laughing at how much my mom would be Granny Weatherwax if you melded her w/ Nanny Ogg.)
Ok! So please - help me out. Recommendations? Thoughts? Anything? :-D
