I skipped the day excursions for a lot of laying in bed and just being alone. I needed to de-compress from being around so many people. I enjoyed my time doing nothing a lot. Doing nothing also meant watching TV. Barcelona was playing!
I did attempt to join the others for a special concert that was being performed at the Teatro Marti a short walk away. It was a nice theater and the performance was called Cotumba. The performance group was large and probably numbered more than us! They had bright and beautiful outfits on. It was a very staged and professional show. Quite enjoyable too, tho I almost felt like I was watching something almost geared to tourists on a cruise ship. But as I said, it was fun.
We then left the venue and strolled back to the hotel. I forget but I think we went over to the hotel by the plaza for some WiFi and pizza. So my day was very relaxing. It would be the last night in Santiago too. I really, really like this city. I would defintely return here if I ever get back to Cuba!
