tired of coming back and seeing that i still haven't updated?

things are good, it's basically been work-work-work for me. i've been managing my two-jobs-a-day and both are going well. i had a lot of hours at the hospital so that's been great as it pays so well. it's nice to get a pay cheque, or see that "all of a sudden", your chequing account balance has shot up :) but the long hours are definetly exhausting. i've done a lot of shopping in the past few days. hehe.. unusual for me but.. i've justified it by reminding myself that i haven't bought groceries since i started working (about a month, cos all 3 meals have been covered at both jobs!), so i've just used the money that should have been allocated to groceries on.. new clothes :) knowing me, you'll know that pretty much all that i got was on sale. yay for sales!
my subletter's best friend from sweden arrived last night. they were talking just now in a language that i assume to be swedish :) and wow, the best friend is hot. i don't say this rudely or insensitively, but yes she is hot.. really pretty, stunning in fact. and seems like a really nice girl. i think she's visiting for 3 wks.
i find it pretty cool that the NBA finals, the NHL stanley cup and the FIFA world cup are/were all at the same time. talk about sports madness. i'm not much of a hockey fan (as i grew up in HK) but i was watching it in the gym and it was pretty exciting. so continued to watch the rest of the game when i got back home. man, as soon as carolina broke away and headed towards that open goal..
on sat night, watched the first of this year's fireworks competition. it was switzerland.. nothing too spectacular, but i'm definetly looking forward to seeing the other countries. china last summer was AMAZING. still stands out.
i've been going to church after my shift and though i miss the entire thing, it's still really great to see everyone. i basically go just as they end and are about to eat the snacks. so i turn up and eat their food. haha.
at work (at the hospital), anette, marie-eve and i like to go for walks on our lunch break. it was too hot yesterday so instead, we went tanning. seriously! they took me to the park right across from the hospital, really nice one actually. anyways, we were on a mini hill overlooking the entire park and you can totally tan there. anette was actually wearing her bathing suit and yes, she took her top off and was wearing her bikini top. we all agreed to pack our tanning gear in case it's a nice sunny day. anette said she even has a radio boom box she could bring.
