A civil case has been filed.

A copy of the filing can be found at http://paopencarry.org/complaint.pdf

You can also find it at Federal District Court Filing & Dockets site

From the Times-Tribune.com

Four members that were part of a group openly carrying guns at a restaurant in Dickson City last month have filed a lawsuit against the borough and its police officers.

Though not yet served, borough officials have said they are not surprised by the news.

The suit alleges civil rights were violated when police detained them and demanded identification for openly carrying their firearms at Old Country Buffet. It was filed Wednesday.

Plaintiffs are requesting $100,000, not including punitive damages, and an injunction requiring Dickson City police undergo further training so that the incident will not happen again.

I think the City is getting off light as the Plaintiffs are only asking for $100,000, But then again this is a city that has a high insurance deductible due to previous court cases.

This is going to be interesting to watch.
