Recovering

May 27, 2007 15:03

This weeks been a tough one.  It started off with a busy Sunday last week with the big all church celebration and the Station that night.  Then on Tuesday I developed a slight sore throat.  No big deal right?

Well...as the week has gone on...it got worse. I developed insomnia and have not been able to sleep well since Wednesday night,  and I worked my full schedule this week when I should have probably called in sick.  The sore throat persisted and I developed head and body aches, a cough, and a runny nose.

From what I hear from other people it goes into chest congestion next, so I'm stocking up and getting ready for when it does.  I have to much on my plate to slow down.

Today's been the best day so far...with me filling in as sound tech for Bruce's family worship team and that was a great experience this morning.  The 2nd service started out with the choir singing "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and by the end the entire congregation was standing singing with the chior.  It was awesome!  That set the tone for worship and going into the message this morning.

We also introduced our new intern this morning.  It happens to be a guy I went to school with  and was in the marching band with.  I'm really looking forward to working with him this summer on the edge service.

I may take a nap here shortly...try and catch up on the sleep I haven't gotten.

church, sick
