Summary: Desperate for Her daughter life, Hyukjae take a drastic decision to leave her boyfriend behind and start anew in a new city. She was hoping that her past will never haunt her. Her life starts to change drastically. She did find happiness but will she found love too?

Chapter 7
Hyukjae rush her way inside. “Where is she?? Little girl?? This height. She came with an old lady. Her Nanna. I was told she was brought here… she….”
“Mam, I’m sorry. I don’t know who you’re talking about. There’s a few kids came in tonight.” The nurse at the front desk answer her.
“She’s..”
“What clothe is she wearing?”
“I…”
“Hyuk!!!” Hyukjae turn to her back and found Sunkyu with a stricken face not far from her.
“Ahjumma, what happen?” She rush to her and hug her. Hyukjae herself is in tears again. “I’m so sorry. It was my fault. I shouldn’t fall asleep.” Sungkyu cried in hyukjae’s arm. Hyukjae calm the old lady down and ask her again about what had happen. “I was taking a nap. She.. she was watching cartoon on the television. And the next thing know was she’s on the floor in the kitchen. There’s peanut butter on her. I…” Sungkyu broke down more on Hyukjae’s arm.
They both know that Hana is allergic to peanut. She told Sungkyu already. She knows that Sungkyu always put any food that related to nut in a high place where Hana can never reach them. But that day, she didn’t even know how Hana can put her hand on the peanut butter.
“No, It’s not your fault, ahjumma. She’ll be okay. Hana will be okay. She’s a strong girl.”
“I’m really sorry. I’m sorry. If I was more cautious. This will never happen. I’m sorry..” Sungkyu keep on apologizing. Hyukjae can’t really blame her. It was an accident. She knows Sungkyu will never ever harm Hana intentionally. Sungkyu really loves Hana. She treats her like her own grandchild.
Donghae keep his silence as he is watching the two ladies crying in front of her. He can’t figure out who Hana is but he know, that Hana is hurt right now and is treated in the emergency room.
Hyukjae and Sungkyu are still hugging each other when the emergency door suddenly swung open. A guy with white uniform come out of the door. “May I know who is this child’s guardian?” He ask.
“Thank will be me, She’s my daughter.” As soon as Hyukjae said that Donghae was shock. He didn’t know Hyukjae has a daughter. Sungmin and Soo Young never mention about that either. He start to get so confuse.
Is what he thought about Hyukjae since the very beginning is true? Somehow, he feels pain in his chest. So Hyukjae just like everybody else. When he finally able to let Hyukjae in his life now he finally found out about who Hyukjae really is. There are so many things that he need to ask. So many thoughts runs through his mind right now. Why didn’t Hyukjae told him about Hana?
“And you’re her father?” The doctor question bring him back to reality. “No. He’s my boss.” Hyukjae answer for Donghae. Hyukjae too, knows that she has to explain herself to Donghae. About everything. But right now is not the time. She have to focus on Hana at the moment.
“She’s fine. But I would like to keep her in the hospital for a couple of day. She has severe ellergies effects. But she’s fine now. I’m going to move her to the child’s department. You can meet her there. I have to say, she’s a strong kid. She’ll be okay.” The doctor rubs Hyukjae’s shoulder before he leaves.
After a few moment, Hana come out on a stretcher. Hyukjae and Sungkyu rush to her side. “Hey, princess. Mommy is here. You’re okay.” She kiss her face lightly.
Hana’s whole face is swollen and red. So is her body. There’s IV tube on her little right hand. Hana’s eyes also swollen. They can see she’s awake, but her eyes are so little. “That’s my baby girl. I’m so proud of you.” Hyukjae said again and continue to walk by Hana’s bed. Soon, the eyes are closing again. the drugs starts on taking effect on Hana.
Hyukjae didn’t even want to let Hana’s hand go. She already forgot about Donghae who is now standing alone in front of the ER.
“Mommy is here, Hana. Nanna is here too. We will take care of you, baby.” Sungkyu keep on crying next to Hana. When they already in the child department, they place Hana o a bed near the counter. The nurses and the doctor need to check on her from time to time.

Donghae have a long drive that night. He feel so helpless and frustrated. “Why is all of this happening to me? You really hate me that much? I have been a very kind, excellent human being. Why are you punishing me this way????” He let out his frustration in the middle of no where.
“Are you having fun up there?? Messing with my life??” he hit the stereng hard.
“Sungmin. You really have to know about this!!” With a speed of light, Donghae race his car to Sungmin’s apartment. He rings the bell non stop and knock the door loudly.
A moment after that, a sleepy Sungmin open the door. “Yah!!! People are sleeping. Why are you so rude banging on my door. I have neighb….”
Donghae push his way inside.
“I told you, she’s the same. She’s like everybody else. Do you know she has a daughter. A child??? What else is she hiding from me? From us??!!”
“What??”
“Hyukjae. She has a fucking daughter.. Are you listening to me? I’ve told you. I’ve warn you about this. About her!!!” Donghae slump himself on Sungmin’s couch. When Sungmin finally can process what Donghae is saying, he sigh deeply. He close the door and get Donghae a glass of cold water.
“I know.” Sungmin said and give the drink to DOnghae? “What?”
“I know about Hana. She loves magic. She’s cute like her mother. She’s bubbly and active. She’s just adorable. You’ll love her.”
“Are you even listening to yourself?” DOnghae is furious. “Yes. Clearly.”
“Sungmin..”
“I ask her to do me a favor. Don’t tell about Hana to you. Not to mention that she is a single mother.”
“What?? Why??” Donghae ask furious. “She needs to be honest if she wants to work with me!!”
“Hae.” Sungmin take a seat next to his friend. “What will happen if she told you? Look at you now. If she told you in the first place, will you agree to hire her? You give her so much heart ache from the beginning. Don’t judge people before you know them. That is not right. And what if she is a single mother? She’s a great one I can tell.”
“Don’t, Sungmin. I don’t want to talk about it.”
“Why? Why don’t you wanna talk about it?”
“Because I don’t!!”
Sungmin sigh again. “Hae, please. Just full fill my request. Don’t do anything bad to her. You already know the truth now. Stop bullying her at work. She’s a great person, Hae. She is different. Please. For your bestfriend. Just help her out. Please.” Sungmin beg to Donghae.
“I don’t know..”
“She’s not like others. If she is, won’t she make a move on me since I’m the first guy she met? I mean, you can tell from my appearance that I am rich. I have the money. I put her on the toughest duty in my café she never complains. She never miss her shift and gives me million of excuses. She even didn’t really trust me in the beginning. You know, I have to convince her that I’m a good person.”
“She’s acting.” Donghae denied Sungmin’s words.
“No, I am sure of it. She even begs me a few times to take her back and work with me in the café. I mean, she earns more with you when she’s with me but yet she still begs to work at my restaurant. She didn’t really put that much interest in money. The reason why I help her because she has to raise Hana. She refused at first but when I finally convince her, finally she agrees. Please keep her. I know the Donghae that I used to know is still inside there.”
Donghae groan. He has to admit, Hyukjae isn’t like any other women who freely wrap their arms around him. She never kiss his butt when it comes to work. Hyukjae work hard. She even dare to speak her thoughts about him, she didn’t let his torture let her down. She earn his respect.
“Still, I don’t know.” Donghae walk to the door but Sungmin stop him. “Stay here for the night so I can keep my eyes on you. I don’t want you to be alone.”
Donghae agree immediately. He don’t want to be alone either.

Hyukjae stay up all night next to Hana, watching her sleep. She hum Hana’s favourite song everytime Hana frowning in her sleep. Hana must be in pain right now. She kisses her face over and over again. She didn’t even dare to close her eyes because she’s afraid that Hana is awake and cried.

Morning come fast. That is what Donghae thought. He sigh. The first thing that comes to his mind is Hyukjae and all the new information. Slowly he gets out of bed and wash himself and get ready to work.
Sungmin greet him. “Good morning.” And serve breakfast for him. They eat in silence. When Donghae was about to go out, sungmin stop him and said. “Please think about what I told you last night. Don’t hate her. It is not her fault.”
Donghae just hum and walk away.

As for Hyukjae, she is ready to go to work while Sungkyu will stay with Hana for that day. Eventhough the swollen had subsided, but the doctor said he still needs to check Hana’s progression from time to time. Hana has to stay for at least one more day.
Hyukjae sign the entire document that needed to be sign. She will apply for a day off today. She needs to be with Hana.
Like always, the office is so gloomy. But today it is kinda different. Hyukjae is nervous since Donghae now knows about Hana. Know about she has a child. Sungmin’s words keep repeating in her mind. How much Donghae hates single mother.
She put herself together before entering Donghae’s office. She knocks at the door and walk in when she heard Donghae’s voice. Donghae is at his desk doing something. He looks up for a while and then looks back at the file on the table.
“Sir, I’m actually want to have a day off today. You know. I need to be at the Hospital.”
“Hmmm..”
“I know it is so sudden. I can explain…”
“Just go. You can have as much as day offs you want.”
“Sir, I know you’re angry at me….”
“Just go.”
“I can ex-..”
“I said you can go. And take them with you. Report tomorrow morning. Then go back to the hospital. Close the door on your way out.”
Hyukjae sigh and bow to Donghae. She takes the files and leave. When she’s at the door she bow again. “I’m sorry.”
