The deed is done.
I have resigned my current job. Yes, I finally decided, was persuaded, etc. to take the job with the company who made me the offer before Christmas. They sweetened the deal by upping the salary another $10,000 and agreeing to pick up my COBRA charges until their benefits kick in.
My former boss Chris who works there actually sealed the deal. He said "Don't come because I want you to. Don't come because we need you. Come because you will be treated with respect and appreciation and you haven't had that in a very long time." How could I say no to that?
So now comes the uncomfortable 2 weeks until I actually leave and then I think I will take a couple of days off before I start the new gig. I'm excited about it, it is a great opportunity and (I hope) it is the first step on the road to fulfilling my dream of living in Vermont.
But I'm so tired.
