Yeah, I suppose the shock is changing into the headless chicken phase. I feel both completely useless (and thus also old, ugly, unhireable, undesirable etc) and freaked out when I am thinking about the things to come

How did your dad's surgery go?

He is back, three tiny holes in his eye and hopefully the (literal) bloody scartissue they removed will stay away and he will regain some ability to see with that eye. The Russian TV is back, though.

Too bad they couldn't do anything to fix his ears.

And put him on antidepressants, as well. Or tranqs. He is again angry at everything and jerks at every sudden movement... must be that he cannot see/hear well enough to feel safe... or something.

I know how you feel; the fear of losing insurance is terrifying.

It really is.

And one of my friends is planning to go for a student exchange to Japan the next semester and although I am really happy that she can, I feel a bit...... since she is a good fun and great sport to be with and I will MISS her so much...
