On Monday afternoon a neighbour brought us about 5 kilograms of fresh raw fish - for food, of course.
We somewhat groaned because the fish was of a sort you have to be very careful while cutting (the spleen can get to anything and ruin the taste completely - and you do not know it til AFTER cooking which just well, sucks). But nevertheless, two evenings in a row we now have had fried fish - and so did my previous boss from TV who also got about 2 kilos of them. And there is still more to be made... aaaaaargh! I am dreaming of fish after a stunt like this, I swear!
The fish-flood had one good side-effect: we purged the science projects from the fridge. Note to self: do not keep deep-frozen crab-sticks (made of surimi) in the fridge section; results are not pretty.
