Hello Journal/Blog.
So it's October again, another turn of the wheel and the year is drawing to the end. It really has been a great year, so many wonderful things have happened, Moved to Manhattan, Started my production Company, Meet a lot of new people, Started getting out into the gay community, Rediscovered how awesome NYC is, and that it has so much to offer you just have to be willing to seize the opportunities. I've grown and learned a substantial amount since this time last year. And that I would have to say is the most important thing one can accomplish. This year is going to be ending with a BANG.
As some of you know for the last 2 months I've been doing posters/flyer, PR and Media for The Ginger Show, which is a drag show held the last Tuesday of every month at a bar in Hells Kitchen. Well this month I've been asked to come on board in a permanent position as basically Co-Producer with Ginger herself. So what do I do exactly? Well I'm still in charge of doing the Poster/Flyers, PR and Media, ( Promotions) but now I'm also in charge of Set Design, Set construction, Lighting, Photography, Budget, Funding, and Book keeping. Ginger takes care of the actual entertainment for the show and of course has executive power over everything, But Ginger and I work really well together and I feel we have a good team going. But of course seeing how this month is our first run together in this kind of situation we'll have to wait and see the outcome. This month is the Halloween show and I don't think we could have picked a better month to let everyone know loud and clear that we are a force to be reckoned with. The posters are out and up and people are already gagging. So this week is totally devoted to the show, finishing the sets, going out and taking care of promotions, and making sure that this will be the Halloween party no one will be forgetting anytime soon.
Last week I decided till after the show I wouldn't be touching the piano. I closed up shop, took down all the cables and packed up the microphones. A break was deff. needed. I also needed to take time and use my artistic juices 100% in another outlet. I didn't do this because I wasn't being productive, I was actually being VERY productive with my music and that's why a break was called for. I know it sounds funny, but a step back in this productive time was called for, and a change of tracks was needed. We'll see if this time away will bring to the piano what I feel it will. Plus it's been great getting back to my other artistic outlets. Building the Set for the show, rigging up decorations, designing the mood, making the posters, it feels good.
Other then the show I have nothing else to really report, it's the only thing I've been doing. This Show is a milestone for me, This is my first big production in 5 and a half years. And my first big party that I'm promoting in NYC, and in Manhattan none the less. So this is kind of big for me. A good ending to a really great year. All you Bitches better be there!

P.S. I cut off all my hair.
