Well my day today was much more relazing than a year ago. November 11, 2003... how could I forget that day? It's just not possible. I'll forget my own birthday before I forget this date. So much has changed because of my diagnoses. With out it, I never would've ... in 2003/4 ( Read more... )

Duubwaa...
You are truly an inspiration to many of us. You were strong throughout the whole process and it was evident. Myself, as well as many others, kept you in our prayers daily. You are a success story. I was so glad that we became better friends over our senior year. Many good laughs and times. I would not trade them back for anything. You are a great person and I hope everything works out for the best with you and your college adventures. You could have given in to the disease but you fought the good fight. You are a survivor and a great role model for many! You're a special person!

i'm really glad you posted this... i don't think i ever really heard in so much detail what was going on that first day. i guess by the time i got to talk to anyone about it there were more pressing matters to discuss than how the day of your diagnosis actually went. how fitting that i finally learn the story a year later, after all we've seen you go through (and all the stuff you went through that we probably don't even understand). i'm so glad things have worked out and that your post-cancer life is even better than the era before it. you rock hardcore, even though you fart a lot and so does kellie. haha, she'll get mat when she reads that. anyway, yay for a year of healing and improvement. woooooooooooooooooo. too bad we never made those shirts that said "dbwa kicked cancer's ass". that would have been great. -kelly

Oh God Daniel, that was seriously the worst week of my life. You are incredible for turning your struggle around into something positive, and for the record, that 6:30 mile deserved more respect than any race the rest of us will ever run. Thanks for making my 2003/04 a lot better...toolbelt and all. Love always, angela
