Mica fell asleep on the walk home from CoHo, but his clothes were wet, so it took me a little while to get him settled on the bed. Raine has gotten very good at entertaining herself during these transitions, usually choosing to color or play in her room. This afternoon she curled up on the loveseat with a stuffed animal and was asleep by the time I was done settling Mica. Thinking back on it, the last few times she's taken a nap it has been self motivated and largely self obtained. It is just interesting to watch her grow into her own agency, and become not only more able to do things by herself, but also willing to take the initiative and care for herself. She'll be cooking on her own before we know it...
