Be Kind To Yourself

Saw this on Wil Wheaton's DW.  This speaks to
me in so many ways.  For a long time I lived for others.
I did what they needed while they ignored my needs.
Finally I saw the light.  I realized I deserved more
in life than I was getting from the toxic relationships in my life.

"Know and recognize the difference between healthy and toxic relationships,
positive and negative people, and respect - and love - yourself enough to
choose the ones that make you happy and inspire you to grow as much as
you possibly can. People who drag you down because it makes them feel
better about themselves are not worth your time." Wil Wheaton

I had people in my life who told me I was worthless.
Anything I did wasn't good enough.  I was always lacking in their eyes.
I accepted what they told me.  Then my step son asked me why they
treated me like that.  I can't tell you how much that meant to me.  That
someone saw me and worried about me.  It was a turning point in my life.
I was a grown woman and he was just about ten years old.  It's amazing
how the people in your life can destroy you and you allow it.
