I think it's a good idea for those who have active pets and need more exercise than is possible. My two are either sleeping or chasing each other around the house. They treat our living room as a race track.

I was just as amused by the older dogs checking on the puppy and him ignoring them. This is a rescue group. Seems even for dogs, it takes a village to raise a child. I grew up like that. Everyone knew who you were and corrected you on the spot. If they didn't, they would report back to your parents about whatever it was you were doing. Small towns...it's the reason I moved to the city as soon as possible. I like no one knowing my business as an adult and being nosy.

Mum often says she wished that they were a bit younger so Jiffy could have a friend, but dad would never cope with their walks ... Mum does very little now due to her week heart.

Jiffy chases his own toys around though - and I amke sure he has a busy weekend to make up for his lazy week.

Our first Basenji was Kuda. We adopted her from a family who had wanted to show her. Her coat didn't turn out the way they liked so they started breeding German Shepherds. Kuda didn't get along with the Shepherds which fought with her. So she ended up with us. She had a problem with larger dogs. Robert felt bad when she died during a surgery so it was a very long time before we got another dog. He wanted to wait till we had a house with a yard ( ... )
