So how have you been lately? No really, I want to know. I've been so cut off from onlineverse of late. 150 reads of friends' entries later I don't feel like talking about me in particular and just want to say I'm alive and interested ( Read more... )

Awwwww ....

Great cat pics. But I was guessing Sora as the mother and Pinto as the kitten for some reason.

Not much to say on my side. Same 'ol, same 'ol. Hope that everything's ok with you? "Alive and interested" isn't terribly informative (like I should talk).

Sora (sky) after the kitty's blue eyes, Pinto ... no reason, she just looked like a Pinto (yet more reason I should never have kids, they'll probably be named Poofbelle and Zoldnark or something equally horrific ( ... )

Does the kitty's name change when her eye color does then? ;)

I assumed otherwise just because Pinto is more masculine. At least in Spanish.

Um, no. Not really. I have been posting when significant stuff happens for the most part ... which basically means I haven't been posting. XD

Still working at the same place and nothing dramatic is happening there. And my home life is terribly unexciting so I'll do you the favor of not elaborating on that. I'll have something slightly interesting to post about in a few weeks, but I gotta keep quiet about it for now so that it'll still be interesting by the time it happens. ;)

Some minor drama at NF, but it's more precautionary so hopefully it gets worked out before there's a real problem.

Do most blue-eyed kittens get a colour change? o_o I've heard of babies' eyes and hair changing colour as they grow older but I have no idea how it works with kittens. And yeah, Pinto does sound more masculine - I figured a name like that suited mom, she's got a very tough I'm a street cat-street cat air about her.

Alright, shall keep my eyes peeled for journal updates at your side =D NF drama ... wouldn't happen to be ship war-related would it? That place is a beehive of endless drama =д=

I thought that they did. Let me know for sure in a year or two. ;)

Don't get too excited now. We're talking interesting by my scale of reckoning.

Possibly.

Pairings is really the only thing I go there for now. I probably picked up over half of my 1000 official posts in the pairing debates and I have 1700 posts in the NaruSaku fan club. I'm fairly hopeful that a war can be averted, but some of the fans need to be reining themselves in or getting reined in.

I might find out if Sora's eyes stay blue as soon as end of this year since that's the next time I'll be visiting the parents, maybe they'll turn amber like her mom's =3

You might be surprised at the things I find interesting XD

Keep the NaruSaku bastion going! I adore pairings and think they're heaps of fun, but my energy for debating the same points over and over to people who won't even acknowledge a reasonable argument when they see it or take things too personally is long gone. It's still great reading well-written points by dedicated shippers though, they often remind me about the things I'm so fond of in certain pairings.

Mine too, I'm afraid. I've been avoiding the pairing debates for the most part, but I'm trying to keep things cool in the fanclub. We've actually become friends with the NaruHina Fan Club (I don't like the word allies in that context) and that was approved by an unofficial vote by the members of each fan club.

NaruSaku and NaruHina are friends? That's awesome, especially when you think of the context of those neverending NarutoxSomeone-related flamewars. Pairing peace FTW!

Now we're attempting the same with the SasuSaku Fan Club. It's not going quite as smoothly. There's a bit of paranoia from the members and some have threatened to leave.

That's mostly just on the SasuSaku side. I'm a bit surprised about the difference, but I think it's because a few of their early responders were dead-set against it and talking about leaving which got others fired up or worried. We just had the "I hate SasuSaku and don't want us to be friends" in our club, but no drama.

I suppose at least the NaruSaku and NaruHina have the Naruto fanlove in common, which helps things along a fair bit. One would hope Sakura would be enough of a common factor to get NaruSaku and SasuSaku to get along, but I suspect the degree of polarisation Sasuke's character causes is enough to overwhelm that =_= I'm rather late in replying, but hopefully by now some progress has been made. If anything, at least you tried, right?

I don't think anyone is logical debating pairings. We debated Ichihime/Ichiruki, and we brought up the fact that Ichigo was somewhat concerned when he heard Rukia was dead/dying, but went completely apeshit bonkers when he heard Ukeorra had grabbed Hime, and kinda forgot about bleeding-to-death Rukia.
I'm like "well... isn't that IchiHime evidence?"
You said no, and I swear I'd represent your argument faithfully here if I understood or remembered it at all. Made not sense to me whatsoever. XD

I totally don't mean this in a snarky way -

We debated Ichihime/Ichiruki, and we you brought up the fact interpretation that Ichigo was somewhat concerned when he heard Rukia was dead/dying, but went completely apeshit bonkers when he heard Ukeorra had grabbed Hime, and kinda forgot about bleeding-to-death Rukia.
I'm like "well... isn't that IchiHime evidence?"
You said no because your (my) view of the events was different. That's the problem with debating pairings, it's pretty much galvanised by interpretation and transference. It's not rocket science, yet day in and day out pairing arguments are reduced to people hurling personal insults at each other to the tune of "you must be stupid not to see that ( ... )
