So how have you been lately? No really, I want to know. I've been so cut off from onlineverse of late. 150 reads of friends' entries later I don't feel like talking about me in particular and just want to say I'm alive and interested

We debated Ichihime/Ichiruki, and we you brought up the fact interpretation that Ichigo was somewhat concerned when he heard Rukia was dead/dying, but went completely apeshit bonkers when he heard Ukeorra had grabbed Hime, and kinda forgot about bleeding-to-death Rukia.
I'm like "well... isn't that IchiHime evidence?"
You said no because your (my) view of the events was different.
That's the problem with debating pairings, it's pretty much galvanised by interpretation and transference. It's not rocket science, yet day in and day out pairing arguments are reduced to people hurling personal insults at each other to the tune of "you must be stupid not to see that...".
In my observation, the interpretations people derive are often influenced by: their own experiences with relationships; what they want out of relationships; degree of affinity or admiration for the characters. That's why I find the most enjoyable and insightful discussions on pairings tend to come from someone who argues for a pairing while appearing to be detached in terms of personal relatedness (I find that Mizura does this especially well - there's a Bleach shipper who's excellent at this as well, but her username eludes me atm).
But basically, it's the rabid shipper stereotype that I'm sick of (you know, the ones for whom the crux of the argument is pretty much I adore this pairing/character therefore it must happen, bonus points for slinging personal shots at people who don't share similar thoughts and all that).
