Never a dull moment around here!
Had a helluva good time in Madrid with Sara, Alyson and Laura. Who ever knew that I'd find a crew of wonderful women (my age!) who actually get the same sort of fulfillment as I do out of an experience like La Goa? I mean really. 15,000 people going totally absolutely wild all day Sunday over electronic music. Sara pointed out that we didn't sit down ONCE! Usually there's a lull in the music at some point, where you go to the lovely back lounge and put your feet up for a bit...but not this time! We just danced and danced...and spent a good amount of time shoving past the other 14,996 people trying to get where we were going. In the end we realized the main room was simply awesome and stayed put. Fun, fun, fun, and not even a headache the next day. How'd I manage that?!
This week I came down with stomach flu on Wednesday night and at the same time, our internet and phone service went down. Both lasted until today! It sucked feeling so lousy, and the technical issues made our moving plans very difficult. Before the outage we got an estimate of €15,000 for our move from one company (!!) so we then blanketed all of Europe with more requests for quotes - and no one could call or email us with their response. AAAGH! Anyway we're back in business and we're looking at something more like 5k. Still a lot, but better than 13k. Moving is expensive!
We'll be happy when we have a company selected and confirmed. Until then everything seems so very up in the air...
