For some one who's been up for 24 hours, I'm pretty cheerful. My first class is at 11, and then my second at 5, so I think there will be some major nappage.
So, the bat saga continues….
I had been in bed reading, and I was really getting into my book, but not really tired. So about 2 I decided that I needed to try to go to sleep. Then about 2:20 I heard a weird noise, so I opened my eyes. "Holy shit, it's the same hallucination!". I could see the bat by the night light I had left on because I was paranoid that there was a bat. So I turned on my ceiling light, which it did not like and then began flying at me. The whole time I'm thinking "This isn't real, there is no bat." Then the bat flew at my face and I decided real or not I was scared enough to duck under my covers. I realized that this bat was definitely real, and I grabbed my phone, didn't make it to my glasses, and ran out the door. As soon as I got to the door, I threw one more look over my shoulder to make sure the bat was real. Then for some reason I decided the proper course of action was to call Bridget. I don't know why, but I knew she'd be awake. Then I came online and Bridget sent me to a site that had all kinds of stats on bats and rabies. Woo hoo. At around 4:30 I decided to make bed in the guestroom. I really couldn't sleep, so I gave up and came back down and began to look for some one to extract the bat. Therefore, by the time Grandma woke up, I'd had an appointment scheduled for its removal and the number of the P.G. County board of health, which does rabies testing. Go me.
