The first Tom Cruise movie I have watched in 2010 is Interview with the Vampire. I asked for two Tom Cruise movies for Christmas. Instead of Eyes Wide Shut I got this.

It was good. It was much better than The Last Samurai. Tom Cruise worked well in this film. I was surprised. He should try playing more antagonists. I thought the plot moved too quickly; it was not confusing, but it did seem rushed. It was not a big problem. I was also disappointed that The Rolling Stones version of Sympathy for the Devil was not used. Those are really the only problems I can think of. It was really violent and sexual. It definitely earned its R rating. I wish I could find that site JT showed me that details violence and sex in movies. It would be a long list for this movie.

I was talking to JT on New Year's eve. We discussed Tom Cruise films, and how he does not die in too many of them. I thought he should have died in The Last Samurai. He did die in Collateral. JT really liked that film. Well, in Interview with the Vampire he apparently dies twice. He also comes back twice, so I guess it does not count.
