(no subject)
Blargh!! Need more "younger people" participants for my study. It's so annoying. I need about another 4-6 people, so it's not even worth doing any real recruiting (i.e. advertising). I especially need people who are under 39 years old. So if you know anyone who lives in north Brisbane (i.e. any suburbs that vaguely follow Gympie Rd) then please send them my way. The research involves a 20min pre-interview, catching a bus trip (it can be a usual bus trip) then a 30min-1hr post-interview. Completely sweet since the bus ticket is payed for and I buy you coffee / cake for the post-interview. Need both users and non-users of the bus system. I've already roped in one of the PhD students who lives out that way, muahahaha.
Anyway, it's all good since my honours student is taking on a bit of the project, which means that mine will run a little more smoothly. Go fate! Go awesome honours student. I love being an honours supervisor, brain-stimulating meetings and the feeling that you are really helping to develop someone's skills and confidence in their own thoughts and research abilities.
In completely unrelated events, I really want to see Shortbus at the Dendy. I may be able to rope in at least one of my housemates to see it with me. From the reviews it seems that it's not for the sexually squemish (it blurs the line between what is a movie and what is pornography) but it seems to be highly rated for it's character development and themes. I think it doesn't really count as pornography if the plot line actually goes somewhere.
As you can tell it's going home time (the thing I love about starting uber-early) so I'm done for the day. Time to go home and become cheesily obsessed with dodgy tabs.
