..or at least putting myself in the right place at the right time.
Had a couple of emails recently. I'm now doing the Monday 4-6 anatomy tut/prac/lecture next semester as well as two one-off second year lecture/tutorial sets on Manual Handling and Therapeutic Activity. So basicly I got exactly what I wanted; my favourite subjects / topics, fitting in perfectly with my time requirements on my scholarship and at the best pay arrangement (i.e. no "repeats"). I absolutely love teaching these subjects. The only drawback is not being able to make it to Monday night running for 12 weeks, but like this year I'm sure I'll still run at uni instead then make it to meet the group afterwards (and avoid traffic and time-wasting in the process).
Once again the sun is shining, the project is working out ok (mainly due to hard work), I got to do heaps of fun tasks this morning, I'm really enjoying listening to Augie March's "One Crowded Hour", I started work early (leading to early going home time), I plan to treat myself to bought lunch at the refec (with no undergrad students to hold up the line), my allergic reaction from yesterday has nearly worn off and I get to see my band buddies tonight. If you happen to see the God/Goddess/Gods today can you please say thanks from me.
I've also been thinking about the Languages of Love (i.e. the ways in which we best like to receive love, both platonic and romantic, and the ways in which we naturally express love). The five languages of love are; receiving gifts (e.g. clothes and chocolate), words of affirmation (e.g. thanks and kudos), acts of service (e.g. cooking dinner, doing someone's ironing for them), quality time and physical touch (e.g. hugs, holding hands). Comment back and take a guess which two are the my two favourite languages for receiving, and my two favourite languages for speaking. Do it, do it now :)
