I wonder if I'll look back in 30 years time and go, "Oh, that was the Naughties back then, that's just what everyone was like." What will I look like in retrospect?
Sometimes I think I'm entirely crazy. I've upped my running this week already (2 longer runs on top of Monday night run) despite have had an injured foot last week. Yesterday was one of those crazy busy days where I woke up after sleeping over at intimatstranger and redteacher's, rushed to a full-day student conference at uni (mmm.. free food), then off running with friends along the Brisbane River, then onto an LGBT Youth Forum. Sometimes I think I should slow down. The crazy part was having a shower in the park using a camping shower bag following my run. I just tied it to the tree (with some help from James) and showered away. It was freezing cold standing there in the wind. Just to put your mind at ease, yes I did keep my running shorts on while showering.
The LGBT Youth Forum was uber-small (for this particular consulation), so I felt really important. Inspired too. I'm thinking of organising a "Wear Blue Jeans If You're Queer-Friendly" Day at UQ next year. This is just one of my crazy ideas. One of my project-related crazy ideas involves voting carrals and icecream. I need to let my mind relax more.
