update type thing
It's been an interesting two weeks. I had a nice long weekend between jobs, and I am getting acclumated to my new job (and working part-time). I've been sorting things in my head, like why on a weekday afternoon I feel guilty for NOT acting sick during a brief encounter with a neighbor.
manwhoreforhire woke up on Saturday morning with the plague complete with burning fever, nausea, and achiness. We had been planning to spend time outdoors with his boys that weekend, but instead, I spent the weekend cooped up in the apartment taking care of the poor sick manwhoreforhire with two high strung little boys. I did manage to make an old friend's concert and see some people I haven't seen in a long time. manwhoreforhire insisted on accompanying me, which was sweet but I should have forced him to stay home to get better. I managed to stave off illness for the most part though on Tuesday morning my chest became all congested and now it looks like I am losing my voice. Otherwise I am doing fine. I am thinking my prolonged illness in October through early November created enough antibodies to withstand the plague which circulated through work and loved ones. We managed to be well enough to go dinner with gravilim on her birthday Tuesday night and had a good time (and a nummy much-needed snazzy dinner).
This afternoon, we are planning on driving down to Los Angeles and staying in a hotel in Chinatown. manwhoreforhire has a seminar tomorrow for work, and then....well it's up to him to plan the rest. We were hoping to see an old friend of his in San Diego, but we don't want to bring germs to his newish baby. I am not quite sure what I am going to do with myself tomorrow while he is at the seminar, but I plan on bringing several books.
