Room 408, really early Monday morning
Naomi had not gone to bed yet, her mom still hadn't called and she wanted to make sure that she wouldn't miss her by falling asleep even if it was fairly early in the morning.
A soft beeping from her computer alerted her and she excitedly got up from her bed and got over to her computer.
"Mom!" she exclaimed softly, careful not to be too loud as there were still people sleeping, as her mother appeared. Instantly she felt a wave of relief wash over her that her mother was still alive.
"Hi sweetie," Samantha smiled, "it's good to be able to speak to you again,"
"Same here," Naomi smiled in response, "when did you get back?"
"Late Sunday afternoon," Samantha replied, "the research mission went really well but there was a slight delay that couldn't be helped,"
"That's okay," Naomi told her, "I'm just glad that you're safe,"
"Me too," Samantha nodded, "how have these past couple of weeks been for you?"
"Well when I wasn't worried, I was mainly reading and studying for classes," Naomi replied, "and I've sighned up for extra curricular activities,"
"And what activities did you sign up for?"
"Flight Club on Monday, Fencing Club on Tuesday, Damn the Man! Club on Wednesday, Self Defense Club on Thursday and Gun Club on Saturday," Naomi replied, "all of them were great,"
"I'm glad to hear it sweetie,"
"Oh mom," Naomi remembered suddenly that she had meant to ask her dad for Lieutenant Paris' contact details on Friday but she had forgotten, "Is it possible for you to get Lieutenant Paris' contact details?"
"I have Tom's contact details with me," Samantha replied, slightly puzzled, "why do you need to contact him?"
"For Flight Club," Naomi explained, "I want to know if its possible to get a simulation program of the Delta Flyer,"
"I can get Tom to give you a call," Samantha replied, "you should hear from him in the next week or so,"
"Thanks mom," Naomi replied.
"Oh and sweetie I should let you know that I got Fandom High's invitation for Parents Weekend,"
Naomi had to fight to keep her expression from being too surprised, she knew about Parents Weekend and that there was the possibility that her mom would visit but she had hoped that it wouldn't be the case because she didn't want to explain to her mom about all the strange things about the school that she had sent her daughter to.
"That's great mom, are you coming?"
"Your father can't make it that weekend but I'll be there,"
"Great,"
"Well sweetie I'll let you go, I apologize for calling so early in the morning but I know that you're rather hear from me sooner than later,"
"Thanks for calling mom, I appreciate it," Naomi told her.
"I'll speak to you Friday morning,"
"Okay bye,"
"Bye,"
Friday ... Naomi thought it back over, there was something on then ... Homecoming. She realised, but then she also realised that she didn't have a date and that no one would probably ask her.
And then there was the fact that her mother was coming for parents weekend, she was very glad that her mother was back from Bajor and that the mission had gone well but then her mother would realize all the strange things about Fandom High and ...
"Not good," Naomi grumbled half to herself and half out loud.

"That's great mom, are you coming?"
"Your father can't make it that weekend but I'll be there,"
"Great,"
