So Bits of Random
Academy of Arts did ArtAfterDark last night. I went to see a movie originally (I hadn't known about AAD). The movie was Dale and Tucker vs. Evil. It has Wash! ^_^ But, I found that my friend who had just won the title of MissVamp Hawaii was going to be there, and there was going to be music, public RockBand, and art galleries. So, it was even better! There were So. Many. People. But, quite a few people were dressed up. More than I was expecting. That was the most fascinating part. There weren't too many Sexy , and quite a few actual costumes. Pirates, sure, but movie characters, Waldo, Star Trek (TV series), various scary beings, and a great Kabuki-type demon couple. They were freaky and well done.
I met a man wearing a UCLA shirt at the bus stop, who was a member of the cast of Cats in 1982. Huh. I'm inclined to believe him. And so random.
In other news, I have had to take several showers to figure out how best to use my soap. To explain: I have a shower jelly from Lush. It's like a perpetually solid piece of jello that smells of peppermint and grapefruit. It's bright blue and generally fun to use. But when I first tried to lather, little bits of it ended up on my shower floor and not sudsy on my body. I needed a system, apparently. I won't go into TMI details. Suffice to say that it takes stages.
Also, Soto-san got RockBand! Her cousin donated two guitars and she bought a used drum set. We bought some cheap, preowned games and now, we just need to figure out how to make everything compatible with each other. We played once before. The controls are a little wonky, but once I adjust I think I'll be on par with her. :D She, on the other had, is pretty great at rocking out. :)
And by the way . . .
Happy Halloween!
I love this holiday. We're going to decorate the house on Sunday, and we're going to a toned-down version of our annual Halloween party. Mum and I are making deviled eggs, guacamole & chips, and maybe a salad for it. I'm going to go in early on Monday, so I can leave early and give out candy to tiny tots dressed in their gear. And mock the teenagers if they have a COSTUME costume again. :P That only deserves the funky selections from the assorted mix.
And now, I'm off to do more homework. So much homework.
