Palais Royal, Paris

What a busy week!

I graduated from my nutrition course this last weekend, so that was a lot of fun. Also, I am preparing to leave tomorrow for Washington DC, and then fly out Friday to Italy for a telecoms project. The travel will not calm down until mid-July.

One of the next Paris workshop assignments was to photograph a classic sight of Paris. I chose the Palais Royal, because I've always wanted to explore it more.

The metro station is amazing!

It was built in honor of the 100th birthday of the RATP as a tribute to Hector Guimard, and was designed by Jean Michel Othoniel.

In the sunshine it glittered like gems!

The tonal sculpture, varied pillars, really picks up the colors of the interior courtyard of the Palais Royal.

We were lucky enough to be there as a troop of school children came to dance in the square!

They were wonderful!

They danced for about 20 minutes, and then they went back to school.

After that we went and explored the passages, that was wonderful, and a priority for the next time!

I'm traveling again as of tomorrow, so I will be only sporadically on line from here on out. Have a great rest of June!
