Happy Friday!
After lunch we left the Champs Elysees neighborhood and headed to the Left Bank, to St. Germain. Our assignment was to photograph cafes, and some of the very famous ones (Cafe Flore, Les Deux Magots, etc.) are all there. They were also full to the gills with tourists! Just look at the Bonaparte, right down the road!
Instead we strolled about and shopped, then took a frozen hot chocolate break at the Laduree on the Left Bank. Oddly, while the Right Bank ones are always full, this one is always peaceful.
Love the palm trees
Then we ambled about, randomly taking photos.
I enjoyed the courtyards,
the little squares,
and the smaller streets that were nearly deserted, with Boulevard St. Germain just a few blockes away.
I then parted ways with my workshop group and went to meet a friend in Montmartre.
While waiting for her I sat near the carousel
and watched these two girls enoying themselves
and this father and daughter discussing why she should not ride the carousel again.
All in all, a very long but satisfying day!
Have a great weekend!
