Thoughts

I sat last night and talked to a man in my church that is about my dad's age about careers and the business world. He has some wisdom that only time can give someone and his advice inspired me to reread a book my dad gave me. "What our mothers never told us" an interesting take on the feminist movement and the good it brought and the consequences that women pay today for the abandonment of some of the family values.

It amazes me at the lack of values people my age have. It baffles me how we lie to ourselves about life- we question everything only to try and answer it all with our limited amount of life experience and biased undeveloped wisdom. We transform Christianity into something "relevant to pop culture" by disregarding the truth of the Bible. We live our lives and try and make the Bible relevant to the our life. We are trying to walk the wrong way on a one way road. Why is it we don't take truth and try and build our lives around that?

I have decided to stop sharing my views and actually start taking a stand for them. Tolerance is one thing, apathy is another, and the one generally starts to develop the other.

I have heard that Atheism can be directly attributed to the lives of so called Christians. I am tired of living a life based on my own clouded truth with the hopes that God will bless it- I am ready to "trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, and love extravagantly with the eyes of Christ" I WANT TO LIVE A LIFE OF PASSION!

With this said, I will get off my soap box. thanks for listening
