DAY SIX: list what you ate today yesterdayWell, that's easy. :-) I had a small sandwich for breakfast (Alexandra didn't want to eat hers) and little bit of leftovers for lunch (that Alexandra didn't want to finish) around 11am. Then I didn't have anything until 5pm when we had dinner. In the evening I munched on some fruit salad before bed. And ( Read more... )

*grin* I know! Might be awkward, but it happens. It ALWAYS happens! In every family, I swear! And as long as you don't make a huge deal about it, no harm is done I say. :-)

And agreed with you there. I feel off the bandwagon there for a bit, but I'll get back to answering these eventually. It's such a GOOD meme, after all! And those are rare. :-)

that never really happened in my family as far as i'm aware but i did find a drawer full of feather boas and that was pretty awkward. also found a rose petal once and cringed

my parents were always over-reactors though i imagine if they walked in on me they would be traumatized for the rest of their lives! haha

I think it's sad that there are so many parents that hide sex and make it something dirty and bad for little kids. When it really isn't. And I believe that effects kids when they grow up in a bad way for their adult life. If a kid asks where babies come from, then answer. Truthfully. My parents did to me, and my sexlife growing up has always been brilliant, thank you. :-)

Not to be rude, but OMG! I hate over-reactors! The wife of Peting's friend is one, and I have to bite my tongue on the point of bleeding to not tell her off. She goes hysteric every time anything happens that she is not in control off... And with the kids being 6 and 4, I can already see that it's effecting them in the not so good way. :-/

Hahahha. I love that the parents can laugh about it though; and the girl can too. Maybe this will show that sex isn't something dirty or embarrassing.

Although, I walked in on two parents having sex in their kids hospital room today, with the kid 5 feet away. That was pretty horrible.

Hell, me and Peting had full blown sex in the bed while Alexandra was sleeping the cradle and later crib next to the bed! Talking about it and not making a big deal about it is probably the most healthy thing you can do to your kid. It's what my parents did for me, and I will be forever grateful for that. I never had 'the talk', because I already knew everything about it in theory. My aim is to do the same for Alexandra. I will answer truthfully when she asks where babies come from. And tell her that since mom is broken inside, to get her we had to do it a bit differently. Honesty. The greatest gift you can give your kid.

Also, for the record. Sex between two people who love each other is never EVER dirty or embarrassing. End.
