Work, work... I am not that kind of orc!
Wooo.... o.O What. A. Day.
So yeah, a lamp had swtched on in our car, indicating that something was amiss in the enginge. Now this light has been on a while, and we thought we had gotten it fixed the last time we had our car at the shop... But it turned on again.
Early today, like before 7am I went to the shop and got the car in, and left it there for the mechanics to check out and maybe work on. Then I took a bus back home.
Home, hubby was waiting for me, and we started to put up wallpapers in the room we are re-doing. Remember, this was around 7:30am or a bit after maybe... We've worked together once before putting up wallpapers so we worked quite well as a team, the wallpapers going up quite quickly. Plus, the pattern on these ones were easier to fit together then the ones we have in our bedroom. So we worked with good speed. :-)
At around 1pm we were done. Checking the time we were surprised, since we thought putting up wallpapers would take longer. Apparently not these. :-) About then the mechanic called and told us what the problem was (a broken part in the engine) and what it would cost to change it. NOT CHEAP! o.O But what do you do? peting73 needs the car to get to his job. :-P So Mr Nice Mechanic Guy got the go ahead to fix it. Then we cleaned up all the trash and fixed the room up enough so peting73 can start putting out the new floors in the room tomorrow.
Let's just say the cats are VERY interested in what is going on in that room... And very much wants to be in there while we redo it. And no. They didn't get to be in there while we got the wallpapers up. Glue in fur is a BAD idea, just saying...
Right, so we both took a LOOOOOONG shower each after that. All clean, I went to pick up the car. And when I came home again (with a very happy car), we had dinner and then we both collapsed on the bed. Around 3pm.
But don't think our day was over there! Oh, no...
Not long after, at around 5pm peting73s mom, my MIL (sorta, we're not married), came over to visit. She had some clothes she thought I'd like that didn't fit her well. So she came over, checked out our new wallpapers and gushed on how good we've done! :-) Was nice. I really do love my MIL. She is awesome.
After that (app 6pm), we all got ready and went to peting73s cousin, since she had her birthday today, were we promptley pigged out on cake and cookies! :-D I think we deserved it. ;-)
The rest of the evening we've lazed out in front of our computers... I think we deserved that. ;-)
Tomorrow.... Me, I'll be cooking and taking care of silly cats, running errands... and peting will start fixing with them new floors... Busy, busy! :-D But damn, that room will be the best looking room in the apartment!
