Work, work... and a story about really old movies...

Yep. Been working today to. Yesterday however was NOT FUN! Had an appointment at 9am, so had to leave home at 8:30am... then off to work between 10am to 2pm... And then again between 4pm to 8pm... not getting home until 8:30pm. To say I was KNACKERED would be an understatement. Geezes...

Today I only worked for 4 hours though, which was OK. And then I bought the last Christmas-gifts. Coming home I also saw that yet another of those I've ordered had arrived. So that was cool. I am very done with my Christmas-shopping now, which feels ABSOLUTELY awesome! :-D Gonna take much of tomorrow and wrap them up. I work tomorrow to, but only two hours so that's cool. :-)

I've also come to the conclusion I am SUCH a sucker for stories about misery and shit... No wonder when it comes to fandom then that I read dark-fic almost exclusively... And my love for misery started early to. Let me tell you a story.

I had a really good friend once, we started to hang out when we were 14 or so. She moved away from home when she was 16 to her then boyfriend, being pregnant with his kid. Got herself a pretty good life nowadays with another man though. It didn't last with that guy, and she now got a daughter to. Both her kids (that she got shortly after each other) are awesome kids, I might add. Anyway...

We used to hang out a lot and watch movies during the late nights after her kids had gone to bed. She and her then boyfriend had cable. Now remember. I was just.... 17-18 then, so this was in the mid/early 1990's. One night we watched a TV-movie, that she recorded on a VHS tape (no DVD's then...). The movie was called I know my first name is Steven....

That movie was like a punch to the gut. It really really got to me, and I couldn't get it out of my head. Now, we had more movie-nights like these, of course... It was our thing, almost. And nearly every time I was there visiting, I asked if I could borrow that movie... returning it a few days later... and then borrowing it again. Until my friend, quite amused, told me to just keep the tape already! I still have it among a few of my old VHS tapes. :-) The image is not that good anymore, since I've watched that movie quite a few times.

The movie was made 1989. And, horrible as that story is (and my gawd it is...)... it is based on a true story. And it is a really, really horrible story. And I just can't get it out of my mind. Not since I saw it that night all those years ago.

This week, while being bored at work (I've been in a corner by myself only being available if anyone wants to ask anything, and... there has been very little visitors to the library)... I discovered you can buy it on DVD! Holy smokes! o.O

Dudes. I want this. I want this badly. So so much... But checking out both the WB-shop and Amazon.Com (my usual go to place for things hard to find), I noted that NONE of them ships outside of the USA. *SOB*

I can buy the book from Amazon, that one they can ship to Sweden... But not the movie/DVD. GAWD DAMMIT! I WANTS IT!

So, please? Please can anyone in the US help me out here? I will pay all the shipping and everything, I just... I really want this movie. Sooo badly.

Edit to add: *running around all over the place* I got it!!! I GOT IT, I GOT IT, I GOT IT!!!! Why, oh why didn't I check Amazons OTHER stores, eh? STUPID! Apparently I could buy it from the UK!!! MY GAWD!!! I'll have this old movie here soon! SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW, GUYS!!!! *flails around*
