And then tell me how you can believe both that statement and another statement, another one which reads only 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you'."
I agree with the sentiment, as usual. I had tears streaming down my face listening to this, yes. But... it's not a religious issue. It's not a gay issue, it's not a straight issue, it is a civil rights issue. Separate but equal is not equal, as we know, and until gay couples have the same protected legal rights as their heterosexual counterparts then we're going to have problems. There are nationwide protests on Saturday which may be too little too late but we cannot remain silent.
