I'm, basically, helping a friend write the conclusion to a paper he's written. (Which doesn't make much sense to me in the first place; if you've written the bulk of the paper, shouldn't you also be able to write a good conclusion, since you know what point(s) you're trying to get across better than anyone?)
I'm getting a headache trying to read all this academic rhetoric.
I'm glad I'm not a teacher. I couldn't stand to wade through piles of this crap semester after semester, year after year. Especially if it was poorly written, in terms of grammar and all that. (Which, thankfully, my friend's isn't.)
Also, check out my new "pain in the ass shit" tag that I created the other day. ;) Sometimes there just are no better words to classify something, don't you agree?
ETA: Conclusion = successfully completed. *thumbs up to us*
(I also just recently learned that "ETA" means "edited to add," rather than "estimated time of arrival" which is what I kept interpreting it as, knowing that was incorrect. Haha.)
