Why do some people find it necessary to shout things to me when they see me on my scooter?

This evening I was heading back from the bus stop (I went to Syracuse... more on that later), was riding down the sidewalk next to 481, one of the busiest streets in my city. First, a car went by and some doofus in a hat yells out "WANNA RACE?!" Yes, buddy. That would definitely give me a fair chance at winning. *rolls eyes* Not more than a minute later, another car went by with a girl whistling at me. I'm not sure what that was about. Maybe she wanted to have a lesbian encounter. If that were the case, I might not have minded. Hahaha. But I doubt it. I was pretty scrubby-looking today. ;)

There was also the instance when I was still at college... some kid was sitting in one of the third-floor windows of Cortland Hall, which I had to pass on my way to class. Naturally, I didn't see him there... so I just about fell off the scooter when out of nowhere he SCREAMED "WOOOO!!! FLYIN' ON THE SCOOTER!" Scared the fucking shit out of me.

Why do people feel the need to do this shit? They're lucky that I generally am amused by it, but I was thinking today that it's sort of like the "cat-calling" that attractive women complain about. Gimp-calling. Yeah. That's what I'll call it. :P

Anyway, yeah, I took the bus into Syracuse today. I decided it was time to redo my left nipple piercing, because I was sick of being lopsided, haha. So my left nipple is, once again, bejeweled with a barbell! I went for 10ga this time, and had John stretch the right side up to a 10, too. Getting a nipple piercing with scar tissue from a previous piercing is a wee bit owwie, but right now, I'm feeling fine, as long as I stay mindful of the fact that I've got a fresh piercing on my tit again. When I first had them done, I kept kind of forgetting they were there, and I became acutely aware of how many things my breasts touch on any given day because I kept accidentally knocking the piercings and having to clutch my chest in pseudo-agony. Ha. :P

...I was going to regale you all with the whole story about my visit to Syracuse (though it wasn't super-exciting), but I'm so tired now so maybe later, if at all. Haha.

But I do have awesome news... Matt and I are going to the True Colors Tour's stop in Boston next Saturday, June 16!!!! I'm so fucking excited! The Dresden Dolls, Rufus Wainwright, Cyndi Lauper, Erasure, The Gossip (THEY HAD BETTER PLAY "STANDING IN THE WAY OF CONTROL" SO I CAN FREAK THE FUCK OUT), other people... ahhhhh yay. It's been so long since I went to a really great concert. Hopefully this one'll do it for me. :)
