You & Jin Fanreport
June 20th, 2010 ~ Sunday @ 6PM

First off, I can’t believe I’m doing this again. XD;; This won’t be as long as my first report. At least, it shouldn’t be. I’ll just add in bits I didn’t notice before and note what went differently for Jin’s last L.A. show.

This time, I got to L.A. Live around 4:25PM and I waited in line at the VIP entrance for Club Nokia, located on Figueroa St. I didn’t see the line for the regular entrance because I didn’t walk around that way, but apparently it was long? I’m kinda glad I didn’t know about the VIP entrance yesterday as I would have missed out on the Jin pamphlet/photobook. (Though that might have been a good thing for my wallet?! XD) I did actually miss out on the survey they gave out to people going through the regular entrance - surveys to be turned in after the show. I got a glimpse of it and it was your standard survey, with ratings from 1 to 5 on how you liked the show, would you come to this type of show again, your contact info for news, etc etc. There was also a space for comments/feedback, and I really wanted to fill one in because I wanted to mention KAT-TUN as well (Bring them to the U.S., please!). XD I met a really nice person who let me write on her survey, so I made a quick note in a corner. 8D

This time I was in row CC in the center of the balcony. :D Great view~~~ loved this angle a lot for what I think would be obvious reasons.

And the show started on time! Exactly at 6PM! It’s amazing how pleased I was by this. :) I appreciated this a lot. Frankly, when fans already wait for who knows how long outside and then inside, I honestly don’t think it’s too much to ask for a show to start on time. But that’s just me.

The MCs come out, and I paid close attention this time to names. Their names are Juiceboy Fresh and Boobie. Yes, Boobie. I don’t even know.

They try to get the crowd pumped up, but to be perfectly honest, I thought the majority of the audience, especially the balcony was low tension for awhile. The MCs go out onto the main floor and then hug some of the audience members, lol. They then go back on stage and split the crowd down the middle again, having one side shout “I want to rock” and the other “right now, right now!” They repeat this several times during the opening of the show as they come on and off stage

Exclusive Video #1 plays. Same deal as last time. Jin exploring L.A. Live and then the Club Nokia facilities. Below is a picture of the Katsuya restaurant, which Jin jokes about, “I’m gonna have my concert here.”

The MCs come back on stage and we have Joey again. I find it really hard to believe he’s only 16 years old. Seriously? He looks so much older. And he also kinda reminds me of Mike Chang from Glee, LOL.

We have a different opening act. Instead of the dance crew from America’s Got Talent, we have AD? AD sings a song and then his crew dance with the theme of “battle of the sexes”. One of the MCs - I think Juice - jokes that someone always ends up on top. He doesn’t get much of a reaction from the crowd, and so adds that maybe the joke is too advanced for the audience. Haha.

After AD, MCs come back out and introduce Dominic. I guess Dom was in Jin’s Japan solo show as well. Anyways, Dom performs the same thing he did in the first concert and I’m assuming the 2nd concert. He sings One Love - again, don’t confuse it with Arashi’s One Love! LOL. The crowd wasn’t very loud and not very high tension at all.

Juice is “pushed” out from the side of the stage again, with his tank top half on. He talks to the crowd as he fixes himself and introduces the second video.

Exclusive Video #2 plays. Again, same deal as last time. Jin in front of the dance studio… To the camera, he says, “Is it rolling?” He explains about needing six dancers and then how three hundred came to audition. Behind him, dancers walk past and into the building. Jin looks at the camera as he gestures at the dancers, whispering “Dancers! Dancers!” XD;; I didn’t mention this in my other report, but we also get footage of the view from what I’m assuming is Jin’s hotel room as the camera turns to reveal Jin in… well, a hotel room. And I thought that was a bit weird because what if some of the fangirls recognized the hotel? Haha. Anyways, I didn’t realize it during the first show (because it’s one of his new songs), but when the vid shows Jin in the hotel room… he’s lip-syncing to Yellow Gold, over-exaggerating it, lol.

After that, when the vid shows Jin practicing with Sky Hoffman (ha! That’s his name… Sorry, I’m bad with names…), Jin is really cute when he messes up, making that ‘oops!’ face and sticking out his tongue a bit. He pretend-kicks at the camera.

Note: Please remember this is a fanreport, and I’m only human. There will likely be mistakes in this (as there was in my first report!), but if you see anything wrong, then please tell me. I will fix it. Also, as a reminder, all Jin pics I used are scans from his Japan concert.

After the vid ends, the MCs and the dancers come out. Yadda, yadda, yadda… Jin comes out from the left (the audience’s left) side of the stage. (It’s been around 30 minutes since the show started.) He walks on with the mannequin thingy, playing with the blue wig before an MC gets his attention. With the MCs urging the audience on, everyone goes, “Jin, Jin, Jin, Jin, Jin~~”

Jin: Are you guys ready?
Fans: -scream-
Jin: I can’t hear you! Are you guys ready?
Fans: -scream-
Jin: Aight, aight. -to dancer- Tie your shoe.
Dancer: What?
Jin: Tie your shoe.

That’s the cue for the number to start as Jin and the other dancers freeze and get into position. Musicbox version of Eternal plays. The same usual stuff goes on - Jin playing the drums, slowing down, etc - before he makes his way to the keyboard and remember, his voice goes all robotic with the following…

Jin: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls - welcome to You&Jin: Los Angeles. June nine… [About to say 19th, but stops himself.]
Fans: -laugh-
Jin: Wait. It’s 20th.
Fans: -laugh, claps-
Jin: Shoot, I did that again.
Fans: -laugh-
Jin: That’s not funny.
Fans: -laugh-
Jin: Weather: sunny. Alcohol: ready. Time to… party!

He forgets to state the 3010 deal with this number set in a futuristic setting, but you get that feel from the look of everything anyway.

Christmas Morning. Why is this song growing on me?! >.>;; Such an auto-tune song, though. D: It must be the beat. Anyways, some stuff I didn’t notice before. At one point, a dancer is in front of Jin and Jin uses his drum sticks to kind of “control” her, if you get what I mean. Also, there’s a part where everything goes dark except for the lasers from the stage and Jin uses a light stick to kind of conduct. Songs ends, and new music starts, and the dancers go…

“C. L. A. P. C. L. A. P. C. L. A. P.” - repeated several times.

Bass Go Boom - I knew I had one of the titles wrong. I’m sorry for the earlier misinformation. I wrongly believed that this song was Clap because I missed it when Bass Go Boom flashed across the screen. There’s a part in this where Jin makes a funky noise with the mic, and it kinda reminded me of Maru (with his beatboxing). Jin does a “Ha!” towards the end of the song, and then “Boom” at the actual end of it.

Wonder - Jin does a sexy dance with a girl dancer (Lala). Btw, I’d really love to see the actual PV of this - a clearer version, I mean. Somewhere during this song, Jin does his signature hip roll/shake that we all should know.

I.N.P. - Cut-outs of different countries, outlined with lights come down, hanging from above. The old-fashioned mic (the same sort of shape like the one in the picture to the right, but it isn’t the same thing, I don’t think) kinda drops a bit on Jin’s head, but he notices and moves out of the way. That could’ve been planned. Anyways, there’s a specific hand movements for this song - they show it on the screen. Of course, audience members do it and also wave their hands to the front.

Adjust the Love - Not only are there light gloves and hula hoops, but also light sticks that the dancers use. At one point, the two dancers with the hula hoops bring the hula hoops over Jin’s and the other singer’s heads and down their body.

The You&Jin sign thing, divided into four panels. Jin and the other singer do their thing, and even though I was sitting in a different place, I still saw when Jin ducked out to the side. But that’s because I was looking for it, I think. LOL.

The other guy, posing as Jin, and Joey do their thing and dance, etc.

Jin comes out from behind the platform and sits on the front stairs. Yesterday, I mentioned that I thought this was a new outfit, but then I found the picture to the left. Jin’s basically wearing that except the hoodie is now all black, plus his hood is down and he’s wearing his black fedora. His sneakers are also yellow.

A Page - Jin begins singing, and the audience actually sing with him, the “You and I” parts. There are rainbow lasers and prisms on the screen.

LoveJuice - Boy dancers in the back. The blonde and brunette dancers dance sexily around him. At one point, he goes down the front stairs of the raised platform as if he’s drunk.

At the end of the song, there’s the same flirting with the lovejuice drinks. The other girl dancers show off their dance moves, which Jin encourages with random sounds. Jin and the two sexy dancers sitting with him drink by linking their arms around each other’s and trying to drink that way… They kiss him on the cheek from either side. The “paparazzi” take photos.

Paparats - Jin puts a lot of emotion into this song.

Hey Girl - Points at the crowd during the “You! You! You! You!” parts and fans go crazy. The camera does a really big close-up of Jin’s face, which we see on the screen, and he licks his lips at that moment, haha. At one point, that guy singer gets in Jin’s face and Jin laughs.

The song ends, though the instrumental continues to play as Jin leaves the stage. As the dancers leave one by one, one of the MCs is talking and some of what he says…
“What do you mean, you can’t do this without Jin? What about us, huh? What about us?”
“We’re losing the whole squad!”
“You leaving, too? Why’s she leaving? That’s the hot one! She’s leaving!”
“Why does everybody keep leaving?”

Oh, and before the song even ended, people began disappearing from their seats around me. Some of the staff were whispering to the audience and the fans got up and left. They were all headed to the bar where Jin was going to be. Apparently, it changes. This time Jin was in the VIP Lounge!! It definitely wasn’t the VIP Lounge yesterday. Since there are three bars, I’m guessing Jin hit each one for each show.

What I suppose is considered the MC is below… It’s noisy, so of course, there are probably a few errors. And someone freakin’ called me during this, so it messed with my recording! Thankfully, Jin didn’t really say anything during those few seconds that I hung up on the person and started the recording again. I was able to catch what he said at the end. Very glad about that. He uses his Engrish. Also, it kinda seemed like whoever was in charge of the camera was tipsy. Yeesh.

MC1: Hello? Is this thing on? Is this on? Are we hot, are we hot? All right, we’re at the bar with Jin Akanishi!
Fans: -scream-
MC1: I got to get some shots. Can we get two- what do we want?
Jin: -to the bartender- Five vodka shots-
MC1: Five vodka shots.
Jin: Five vodka shots with lovejuice in it.
MC1: And some lovejuice.
Jin: Some lovejuice.
MC1: -to fans- Are y’all having a good time?
Fans: -scream-
MC1: Wait, wait, wait - Jin wants to say something. Jin has something to say. Whatcha want to say, Jin?
Jin: Man, I love L.A. -to fans- I love you, guys.
MC1: He loves you.
Jin: Love you.
MC1: Can I get a cup of water too, please? Half a cup of water?
[Some mumbling that I can’t understand.]
MC1: For lovejuice, to give to one of the fans. Y’get what I’m saying. Just a little glass, just a little glass. -to Jin- So, Jin. So, Jin.
Jin laughs.
Jin: No vodka! Let’s get some “Jin”/gin. [ROFL, channeling Junno, are we? 8P]
MC1: How was the first half of the show?
Jin: Gin straight!
MC1: Wait, hold on, hold on! Jin, how was the first half of the show for you? Was it good?
Jin: ‘Good’? Great, great, great!
[Some mumbling…] The bartender hands a drink to the MC.
MC1: Oh, we got some lovejuice!
MC hands the drink to Jin.
MC1: Drink it, drink it.
As Jin drinks…
MC1: There’s Jin’s lovejuice.
Fans: -scream-
MC1: Drink it down. Drink it down, drink it down.
Jin still drinking…
MC1: Leave a little bit, leave a little bit. Let’s get the shot, let’s get the shot.
MC takes the plastic cup from Jin, holds it up.
MC1: -to fans- Who wants some of this?
Fans: -scream-
MC hands the cup to one of the fans. [Missed some of what happened as someone called me…]
Jin: We’re gonna have fifteen minutes inter… intermission.
[The brief pause was b/c he obviously forgot the word for a second there.]
Fans: -laugh-
MC1: We gotta take a break.
Jin: I gotta take a break, I gotta take a break. I need drink. [LOL. XD;;]
MC1: Get some drinks.
Jin: Get drunk, get drunk.
MC1: Get drunk - we love you!!
Jin: Everybody, go- Everybody go to the bar, and- get something!!

Camera closes in on Jin’s mouth, and he kinda clenches his teeth and sort of purses his lips a bit?

INTERMISSION

Picture of Club Nokia from the outside. Just because.

Dancer Introductions. Juice, Dom, Paul, B.J., Lala, Aubree, Lizzy, Shorty, John, Boobie, Joey.

Dance Segments
Jin comes out when John is introduced in the outfit pictured to the right. The dance segments got all messed up. Whoever was in charge of the screens and lighting were not on top of their game. It was supposed to be Pop Dance first, but they had World Dance on the screen for a little bit?

→ Pop Dance
→ Screen Dance They all have the white jumpsuits on this time. However, the colored lights aren’t working, so Jin and the two other dancers - I think Boobie and Dom? - have to improv it. Boobie takes off his jumpsuit first. Since it’s difficult getting his feet out, he leaves his shoes in the suit, and Jin takes them out as Boobie and Dom dance. Then Jin actually puts his hands into Boobie’s shoes and holds them up, putting them together. Then he takes out one hand and smells it. XDDDDD He then hands Boobie’s shoes back to him.

Jin takes his white jumpsuit off onstage with his back to the audience. Boobie and Dom help him. And even some of the other dancers rush onto the stage to brush off his clothes and then go back to the sides. XD He has on his whole outfit, except for the black blazer. Anyways, Jin then breakdances/freedances.

He and the others leave the stage to Joey and some other dancers as it goes to…

→ Trickin’ Dance I don’t remember this from yesterday? But Joey and the others trick dance.

→ Look Lock Dance Jin comes out from the back of the platform. Does the hat trick. Lots of old style/boogie kind of music.

→ Hip Hop Dance Dom wipes Jin’s face with a handkerchief and then throws it to the audience. XD;;

→ World Dance Man, the music is actually pretty creepy, twinkling music in the beginning. After the whole mask dance, he does the kind of Wonder stop-rewind dance. Sexy dance with the girls and fans. Weird cloak dance, where dancers come out from under his legs as he holds up a red cloth. Jin switches with someone during this period. He ends up on the right side of the stage.

Yellow Gold - A lot of auto-tune going on with this one as well, but good beat. Audience claps as we go into…

My Mp3 - Techno, club kind of music. More auto-tune. Like the dancing here. :)

Tipsy Love - A studio version of this would be nice. :) He sings without music at first, like last time.
Jin: -sings- If I said, ‘do you love me?’, would you say, ‘Ye-oh’?
Fans: YE-OH! -laughs-
Jin: -sings, being all dramatic and teary- If I said, ‘do you need me?’, would you say, ‘Ye-oh’?
Fans: YE-OH!
Jin: -sings- If I said, ‘do you love me?’, would you say, ‘Ye-oh’?
Fans: YE-OH!
Jin: -sings- If I said, ‘do you need me?’, would you say, ‘Ye-oh’?
Fans: YE-OH!
Jin: Thank you.

Jin goes into the song.

Tipsy Love Lyrics ~ Chorus
If I said, 'do you love me?'
Would you say, 'Ye-oh'?
If I said, 'do you need me?'
Would you say, 'Ye-oh'?
I'll keep you dry when the rain falls
'Cause I've never been so enthralled
Don't know how
And I don't need nothing else~
Baby love, can't imagine
It's like magic, I found this love
Baby love, can't get closer
'Cause you're the closest, baby
Baby love, I got a question
Did I mention
Is this real, or are we drinking the love?
You got me tipsy, baby~~~

Random things that Jin says towards end of the song as the audience sings and as the show wraps up:
“Louder, louder!”
“Can’t hear you, can’t hear you!”
“This show is possible because of you guys. Thank you very much!”
“Let me introduce my friends…” → He introduces the dancers.
Jin takes off his fedora and bows. :) That was nice. Dom slaps his butt, LOL.
“I’m serious, can’t hear you guys!”

Music stops. Someone - not Jin - does some beatboxing, (Of course, my mind immediately went to Maru. ;___;) and the “He-ey, he-ey, heeeee-eeey” with the audience continues before it ends on Jin, saying to the fans, “I love you.”

Jin and all the dancers link hands and bow. Then everyone leaves to either side of the stage, leaving Jin alone up there.

Jin: I hope I can see you guys again soon. “Ciao~~~!”

Jin leaves the stage.

Of course, everyone’s calling for Jin to come out again. The cheers go up and die down a few times. It kinda felt like he wouldn’t come out (like yesterday). But guess what?

HE CAME OUT. 8D Nice, Jin. (Hanamaru!) He’s wearing jeans and a yellow hoodie - no shirt. -waggles eyebrows- And yes, his black fedora is there.

Jin: Thank you very much, thank you very much. I have one thing I have to tell you guys. I’m gonna have tour in America. September and October. I promise I’ll see you guys there. Promise. Promise. You guys have to come. Please~~~? [This ‘please’ sounded so much like old school Jin, no joke. Got me right in the heart.] Thank you very much. You guys have to come ‘cause I love you guys.

To hear Jin's "Please~~?", go HERE for my Tumblr audio post. DO NOT RE-UPLOAD THIS ELSEWHERE. That especially means YouTube.

One of the MCs starts a Jin chant.

Jin: Thank you very much. Have a good night!

More “Jin” chanting.

Jin: That was amazing. Awesome, you guys are awesome. Thank you! Thank you very much.
MC: Make some noise! For Jin! Akanishi! Give it up, give it up, give it up!
Jin: Let’s go - ciao!

Jin blew a kiss, though I missed it.

And so ends You&Jin. Well, the L.A. phase. XP

And just because…
