Howdy!
Quick drive-by posting!
First, Peter is doing okay. There is nothing that can be done (that makes sense anyway) except give him anti-inflammatory shots for the swelling. He is alert, eating and seems fine. I doubt he will last much longer, but I will make his life as easy as possible for what is left. He is getting to be part Hobbit -- likes his breakfast and his 2nd breakfast... LOL
Dog trial Friday was excellent! Shannon completed her Snooker Title - she also picked up one more qualifying run in Standard -- just one more left to complete her championship in CPE.
Mic played "Mr. Beautiful" and posed on the dog walk for about 10 seconds... and guess how much over course time we were? About 10 seconds! Silly pup. I only entered the one class with him.
Then there was Duncan. It was his debut. He was like a kid in a playground - had to play on every thing!!! He did awesome. We bobbled in the first run (Wildcard) and flew past the tire jump. Had to backtrack (but did not back jump), do it and go on -- still blew out course time. We had 48 seconds to complete the course - did it in 23 seconds. Then came Colors -- course time was 54 seconds - our time --- 19.03 seconds. Snookers -- completed in 23 seconds with 42 points, FullHouse we were 2 seconds over course time - he took off over the dog walk just as the 5 second whistle blew - we did that, a tunnel and 2 jumps and got to the table only 2 seconds over time so only lost 2 points off what we'd accumlated - he qualified. We did not qualify in Standard - our last run. He was just way too fast still and it was a long, tight course. He did the dog walk 3 times... oops! So we essentially had 2 off courses and can't do that - even at level one. But all in all, I was very pleased with his performance. he LOVED it... most dogs were dragging by the end of the day (it was hot and humid) - he was still flying! He did earn his level 1 Handlers title with the Q's he earned. Only needs a few more Q's to complete ALL the Level 1 titles.
Today I played with my beads and made some really cool bracelets. Needed a few more beads and then I'll be listing them on ebay. I'm keeping a lapis one for myself, and gave my sis an emerald one. I am just finishing the garnet one. I was quite happy with them. Also created a "something" with a gorgeous sparrow pendant I found. Pretty grey sparrow out of shell. Made it up into a dangle thing. Not sure where I will wear it, but can decide tomorrow.
Which brings up tomorrow -- BRISTOL Ren Faire! (In Wisconsin on the IL/WI border). Started this weekend and I am heading up tomorrow. Or really today as it is after midnight. Cannot wait and I will have tons of pics to post tomorrow night.
