A not so hopeless crush part 36

“Behind the scenes Arashi are pretty…Uncool…And bad drunks…” Nino giggled breathing a little easier now as he tried hard to imagine Toma with his hand down a toilet and Satoshi hugging a door stop. It was difficult to picture when he had the super cool Arashi images in his head but now that he knew them as people it was somewhat easy to picture. “…Do you get hysterical when you’re drunk?”

“Not really…I normally get grumpy and start tidying up in really dramatic ways…” Jun answered with a somewhat reluctant air about him and Nino snorted again but managed to control his laughter this time as he cocked his head to one side and hummed;

“You tidy-up dramatically? Is that even possible?”

“Yup…Thankfully you saved me from that…” Jun sighed happily and Nino made a mental note to not take his boyfriend away from the next drinking party until he had witnessed him dramatically tidying up. He was prepared to bet that Jun was an adorable drunk “What about you? Any funny drunk moments?”

“…Not really…I don’t get drunk very often…In fact I don’t even drink that often…I don’t have many friends…But I did end up on a stripper stage once…” Nino mumbled flushing red with embarrassment as he remembered it clearly as though it had only just happened.

“Oh? Now I’m curious…” Jun smirked and Nino flushed hoping that he wouldn’t disappoint him when he said his story.

“…It’s not really that interesting…a friend of my sister’s had gotten their first every gig as an exotic dancer and my sister insisted that we go along to support her…” Nino groaned a little as he remembered the argument that he had had with his sister about going in the first place but Laura had just recently transitioned and had needed a lot of support that night “When we got there they were in the middle of happy hour and they were giving away these weird alcohol pop things which didn’t really seem like an alcoholic drink…To cut a long story short I was on the stage in one of my dresses dancing with my sister’s friend…Thankfully it was before I was famous and there weren’t many cameras of it…”

“That’s too bad I would have loved to have seen it…I bet you would have been incredible…” Jun purred and Nino’s cheeks burned a little more brightly as he studied his knee caps before whispering;

“My sister has a video of it…She likes to play it every now and then…So if you really wanna see it you would have to ask her…”

“Ah…That might be a problem as I think your sister terrifies me…” Jun admitted and Nino gave a laugh glad that he wasn’t the only one that had gotten that effect. She was a small woman but she had bags of personality. It came in handy when she was dealing with his company though and it wasn’t as if she was a bad person.

“Yeah…She’s known for having that effect…It makes her good at her job though…” Nino shrugged with a smile as he chewed on the corner of his mouth realising that his teeth were feeling gritty and he supposed he should make an effort of waking up more so if there was going to be breakfast. He picked out a small wash bag that he had packed the previous day and asked “Um…May I use your bathroom?”

“There’s the one just through there…If Toma has taken up residence in the bath tub you should at least use that one…” Jun said waving his hand to the tiny toilet that Nino had discovered yester when he had let himself in by himself. “It’s pretty basic but it has a sink and a toilet…I should go and make coffee and inspect the damage caused just come out into the kitchen when you’re ready…” After saying that Jun pressed his lips to his forehead and then hugged him a little before leaving him alone in the room.

Nino hurried through his morning routine and then nervously walked toward the door of the bedroom. Filtering down through the corridors from the kitchen he heard Jun, Sho, and Masaki all talking about everything and nothing and he couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed that his application for Johnny’s had been rejected. It wasn’t as though he wanted to spend his whole life singing and dancing but he was sort of envious of the friendships that the members of Arashi had with each other and the other Johnny’s. He had few friendships in his life, mostly by choice since he wasn’t really the sociable type, but he had always longed for something like the way Masaki talked to Jun. Tugging on his t-shirt he wished he could put on something else but knew that Masaki wanted to see him in a masculine style so he took a breath and walked to the voices.
