Let's dance....
Have you ever found your true passion? The one thing you totally love and can’t imagine never doing again? Most people spend their entire lives looking for it and trying new things all the time to find it, yet never do. Not to sound egocentric but I’ve been really good at certain things before, like soccer. Everyone believed I really had a promising future in that. Even after all the training, tournaments, awards, scouts etc. It never made me really happy, it wasn’t something I wanted to do, just something I did well. And as weird as it sounds thankfully I was injured.
It’s a really hard thing to describe. But after being injured, I had to find other things to do with my time since my "soccer career" was over. My rehabilitation for my injuries was dancing. Any kind of classes would do, because the dancing was supposed to improve movement in my knee. Then I discovered my thing...I loved to dance. I mean, any kind of dancing. I have a completely terrific time, I mean a blissfully happy time, dancing. I can be off at a country bar doing the two step, at a formal ball waltzing, doing the tango in our living room for fun, or just getting down and dirty on the dance floor in any club. I’ve never felt this comfortable doing anything else...
It’s weird really. I just find that once I hit the dance floor everything else is easy and I’m completely untouchable. And damn, I’m never happier being me... I wish everyone in the world could find that one thing that makes them feel all that. It’s my passion...what’s yours?
