http://krys29.livejournal.com/19354.html Actually, I was just being lazy and then I forgot to post the entry where that link leads you. It takes you back to August 28th, the day after I left Paris.
As for living in the French countryside right now...still love it! Some loaded broad, that was one of the students of this school, bought a bunch of stuff while living here and ditched it all here before she went back home. One of the items she ditched was an acoustic guitar. It's been adopted by the house as the 'house guitar' now because apparently, as per a past student, someone has always said, "Man, I wish there was a guitar here." My roommate tinkers with the guitar every now and again, so I decided to google some chords and just learn chords to strum. After a little while of tinkering with some new chords I learned, I realised I was playing Jens Lekman's 'A Man Walks Into A Bar'. I then googled the chords to that song and have been practicing it like crazy. I think it's a bit annoying for my roommates, so I've been closing all the doors to the kitchen and doing it in there.
So far, here are the songs I have taught myself that I can actually play decently:
A Man Walks Into A Bar - Jens Lekman
Painting By Chagall - The Weepies
Can't Smile Without You - Barry Manilow
Free Fallin' - Tom Petty
Humans are Dead - Flight of the Conchords
