When I was on competitive swim teams, if you were doing a 500 freestyle, they'd put someone at the end of your lane with a lap counter, just in case you couldn't count to 20 on your own. In the last five days, I've been swimming 4 times. I picked up a membership to LA Fitness (my work pays for half of it, so it's a pretty good deal) and started doing laps there on my lunch hour. If I really work hard (which I do) I can get over 1,000 yards in a half hour (40 laps). I can currently do only 50 yards of butterfly - crazy to think I  ( Read more... )
