Today, Oliver turned two. Holy Moses. Someone please tell me how that happened? He was just born a few months ago...
Last night he decided to stay up late and bring in his birthday. Actually, he woke up several times in the middle of the night to bring in his birthday. I think he likes to celebrate his birthday. I'm sure he gets that from me.
Seriously, though. Two is a great age. It's fun to see the gears turning in his mind. His communication skills are really developing. When we were driving 80 mph on the freeway to Park City for our big Christmas trip, and his grandpa was playing/taunting/torturing him, Oliver pointed his finger at him and said, "You get out of my daddy's car right now, Papa." We were all very impressed that he was able to string together such a coherent sentence.
What a charmer, huh?
Until he orders you out of the mini-van while we're doing 80 mph.
