Woe is My Bedside Table!
Thanks for all the kind words on Friday, people! I didn't mean to ignore you all, but the last couple weeks have been insane.
On the brightside, I finished the sekrit rough draft thing I was supposed to. It should probably be 2,000 or so words shorter, but cutting it has not been as easy as I thought it would be. Still, kind of pleased, mostly because I wrote a hell of a lot in the last 2 weeks, and it's been a while since I felt so driven to write like that. (Turns out deadlines are helpful. As if I didn't already know that.)
In other news, I was delighted to see that JJA has an anthology of dystopian fiction coming out next year. After I read the copy on my F-List, I scrolled down to the very next post and saw Apex Books just put one out! I guess Dystopian SF is back. Or maybe it never really left?
My bedside table is currently teetering with the weight of anthologies and collections, but I'll probably end up adding those to the pile when possible, although I'm really excited to grab Haunted Legends and kick the Halloween season off right.
