Help!

Tomorrow morning, I come back to Claremont. In the next two days, I have to get all my crap out of storage, which is more than two miles away from campus. Last year, when I put everything away, Carolyn graciously let me borrow her car for the purpose. However, she is abroad this semester. Thus, no car.

I emailed the girls I went in with for the storage to see if any of them would be willing to carpool (exchanging my hauling power for use of a vehicle) but nobody responded. Poo.

My mom suggested hiring a taxi (very $$$, especially as it waits for me to haul everything downstairs). My dad suggested buying something at Lowe's/Home Depot and borrowing their rental truck ($19 plus $5/hour after the first 75 minutes) for the purposes of moving. Of course, I don't know what I'd buy, and also to do that I'd need a credit card (all I have is a debit...would that work?) and proof of insurance (which, despite the fact that I am insured, seems to not exist in any of my parents' cars....?). I'd have to walk to and from the store, alone, both of which are several miles away from campus. And of course this wouldn't be very cheap either. Argh!

If there is anyone who reads this who a.) has access to a car or b.) knows another way to get my stuff out of storage efficaciously, I will worship you/pay for gas/bake you cookies/do whatever else you want.
