Look what I found:
This is Professor James "Morty" Moriarty and he is 8 weeks big! He is a Chihuahua.
I never, never thought I would ever own a Chihuahua. I, like everyone, got so sick of them when Taco Bell ruined them. They are not the cutest dog but the black ones aren't as bad. Reading that makes me seem dissapointed in the choice of breed. I am not. In general, I am not a fan but the odd one is adorable. His eyes are less bulgy and his face is rounder than most pups. Being the rarer black helps. I am very happy with his coloring. I think he is and will be adorable. Phil was the one who really intested in the breed. To his credit, they are ideal for our lifestyle: sleep 18-20 hours as a puppy, they are small, ideal for apartments, little exercise (8-10 min a day), and like to cuddle (he will not be sleeping in our bed).
So, I will become one of those people. He HAS to wear clothing outside (when he starts going outside. He is too small to go outside) because otherwise he will freeze.. So I will have one of this stupid dressed up dogs. I will find some awesome little sweaters which are not pink or frilly.
I find video does him more justice (ignore the silly audio):

As a side note: she grew up with a horrid Chihuahua and as a results cringes whenever anyone mentions them.
I have never had a puppy before but he seems to have a very good temperament. He goes towards people. He fell asleep in my arms the first time I held him. Phil picked him up and he was perfect. We did look at a few pups. Another one we were looking at just ran away from us. Yesterday Chandy over for "a short visit" and she stayed a few hours because he was too cute to leave. He was calm when she handled him. He doesn't know where to go to the bathroom but he will learn.
So this means I have 5 pets...4 birds (I don't think I mentioned that to keep Sunny I got another female bird, Harvey Birdwoman. The birds are contained so they feel like furniture. Messy, loud furniture.
I haven't told my dad yet...
