I got a netbook! Weeeee~!

Acer Aspire One - 10.1"
I got it in blue.I have been ogling them for a long time now and am very happy to finally have one. I am not a big laptop person (I would use it as a secondary machine but I am not a fan for things like gaming. I got a laptop partly to take on trips to the US but after being hassled at the border I stopped bothering. I also thought it could be useful at AAS and then that died. :P

IMDB gives 79 mins for 9.

haha I almost got dragged to The Last Unicorn as well (though a borrowed DVD is still lying around here), but a friend came to visit from Boston at the last minute.

I havent been gaming much. Been busy with..hell I dont even know what...well what is written above. I played some City of Heroes for a while but stopped that a month or so ago. So not much gaming. It is summer time.

I hear ya about the 'rents and the presents -- my dad actually paid me a similar favour once. I saved up for freakin' ever to get a laptop of any sort when I was younger and had no job save for an occasional stint at the student newspaper.

As second year approached I still didn't have enough money (typical laptops were around $1200 then) and he said that I had worked so hard in first year and done so well and been so dedicated to saving that I deserved a break. And he paid the balance, which was probably a third of the laptop price.

So from experience, I'm glad to hear you have the chance to enjoy a sweet little laptop :)

I'm sorry for not calling you. I was in the middle of a flu and fever and was a bit out of it.

I think I'll probably be at the wine thing, but it depends on how tired I feel. Count me in as a maybe. But we could chat by phone this Sunday?
