Had a pretty good post work-day yesterday. Had fun dropping off a surprise
VERY late Christmas present for Tim (Shiny red paper + GIANT '?' = fun :D ), hit the CBS (FINALLY! Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam! Issue 2!) and came home to find a card from my Gran and a note on my door from my ghost roommate.
I may have mentioned my ghost roommate before. She heard me crying one night and knocked on my door to see if I was okay. I introduced myself (because we had never met) and she invited me to sit on her floor, eat chocolate and vent. I tried not to vent to much and decided to just chat with her. Turns out she is really cool and funny and nerdy. She is rarely home because she lives at her boyfriend's place so to thank her I drew a card and taped it to her door. A few weeks later, I found a small doodle from her. Then, last night I found another note from her along with a "hot facial mask" hanging on my door knob. The note assured me that the mask is wonderful despite the (truly) horrific photo on the packaging. Tag. I am it. But seriously, how nice is that?
Also, munky turd, thanks. You are the king of the pile. ;)
MEME:
What do you guys do at work or school or while searching for work? I don't mean what you are but what you do.
The rules are simple -- take today (today being the day you write the meme) and tell me about some of the stuff you did.
What I did (or plan to get done/will get done) at work today:
-Got in and made oatmeal (which I do every day).
-Read work email (DIA news, etc).
-Co-worker dropped off Green Lantern Rebirth series and we discussed comics briefly.
-Talked to my boss about the consolidated stakeholders list I am working on. Talked about consultation with Research Ethics Boards.
-Edited some GCP-Sub Committee telecon minutes.
-Replied to some emails (this is an ongoing, never done process).
-Worked on the list of stakeholders.
-Went out for lunch at the New Port in celebration of my Birthday (a week and a half late).
-Scanned some No Objection Letters for an inspector out in Manitoba.
-Prepare a response about regulations about clinical trials and natural health products.
Not very exciting. Monday's are way more exciting with RISK meetings.
Very nerdy moment for me right now. It's too embarrassing to talk about but trust me. I am surprised. Very comic book nerd moment.
