There is
"Flatland - A Romance in Many Dimentions - The Movie"? WHAAAAT?!!?!?!?!! I must see this! This was based on my
favorite book back in grade school.
They seem to have kiddied it up and removed the "sexist" portrayal of females in the 2-D population (social status is based on the number of sides you have - a circle with infinite sides is of the highest rank). I actually found the description of women hilarious (even if it is a bit sexist):
"On the other hand, the female population is comprised only of lines, who are required by law to sway back and forth and sound a "peace-cry" as they walk, because when a line is coming towards an observer in a 2-D world, it appears merely as a point. The Square talks of accounts where men have been killed (both by accident and on purpose) by being stabbed by women. This explains the need for separate doors for women and men in buildings."
Also, on Jordan's recommendation to everyone (because the Library Moffat Doctor Who episodes), I read
"The Time Traveler's Wife" (Finally got a copy of it last week). I enjoyed it. It was endearing. I sort of wish there was a little more about what happens regarding his progeny (felt like there were some answered questions and lose plot ends) and I would have enjoyed to read a little more about the genetics behind Chrono-Displacement Disorder. Regardless, a good read.
Onto
"Relics of Eden."
