I am really hoping someone can answer this for me. I would like to know if there is a way to decrease the kb size of a photo with CS3? I know that on Tumblr you can only have a photo that is 500 x 700 and it has to be no larger than 500kb or the quality diminishes. Can anyone please help me figure this out??

I was wondering, for those that make graphics, how do you maintain the color and quality of the graphic when you save it? Everytime I make something and get the coloring the way I like it, I post it and the coloring seems somewhat faded. :( I save it as a png image, but I don't know what else to do. Any help would be much appreciated. ♥
